Subject: FBI Warning
The FBI has observed malicious actors targeting healthcare related systems, perhaps for the purpose of obtaining Protected Healthcare Information (PHI) and/or Personally Identifiable Information (PII). These actors have also been seen targeting multiple companies in the healthcare and medical device industry typically targeting valuable intellectual property, such as medical device and equipment development data.
Please be extra careful and advise your peers to be careful with e-mails and web browsing. Do not click on links in e-mails without reviewing the link’s target carefully. Do not open attachments you are not expecting, even if they appear to come from people you recognize. Do not browse the web with an account which has administrative access.
Please promptly report possibly infected PCs through your normal support channels.
