The City of Batavia Fire Department will be hosting a FREE “Firefighter Behavioral Health: Protecting Our Own” workshop sponsored by the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs and presented by Mike McEvoy on Monday, May 11th at 7pm.
Mike is widely published in nursing, medical, fire, and EMS magazines including Fire Engineering. He is also the author of “Straight Talk About Stress” published by the NFPA.
Dr. McEvoy’s background includes being a forensic psychologist, Nurse, Dispatcher and Paramedic. His involvement with emergency services and experience allows him to speak with first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by firefighters every day.
All WNY New York firefighters are invited to attend this informative workshop to help protect yourself and your department members physical and mental well-being.
