Since recently receiving notification from the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) that Erie County Medical Center is now verified as a Level 1 Trauma Center, it’s time to celebrate the successful outcome of an intensive evaluation and review process.
Our dedicated team of Trauma Center professionals and many others worked tirelessly to ensure that ECMC met every goal set by the College to be designated a Level 1 Trauma Center with absolutely no deficiencies! This verification confirms ECMC’s commitment to the highest quality trauma care. Many people in the community are alive today because of our topnotch Trauma team.
